Pure Collection sell a great range of woollen and knitwear, but here are some interesting facts you might not know about them:
Quality:
Even a ‘100% cashmere’ label is no guarantee of quality; however, at Pure, you can be sure that you’re getting the ‘pick of the clip’, as it’s known in the trade! Their co-founder, Adam, has been trading directly with the Mongolian herders for more than two decades, so he can identify quality cashmere simply by the feel of the raw fibre. With no middlemen to fluff up the prices, Pure can deliver top-quality cashmere for less.
Green:
It’s taken them 5 years, but they are proud to announce that they now source 100% of their cashmere from goats that are raised in a sustainable way. Pure Collection is the only brand that uses 100% sustainable cashmere.
Pure Colour:
As you might expect, there’s something special about the way Pure cashmere is dyed.
Instead of dying yarn, or even whole garments in some cases, at Pure they dye their fibre before it is spin into yarn which means their cashmere harnesses colour and maintains vibrancy like no other.
It’s what makes their colours look ‘expensive’. They reserve the rarest white fibres for pale colours and use grey and brown fibres for the deeper tones. It means your cashmere doesn’t need to be coated with as much dye (it’s the same principle as painting a wall), So it’s softer for you and won’t irritate your skin.
